Grace O-Malley’s – McCormick Place

Looking for a get away while at show at Chicago’s McCormick Place?  Try Grace O-Malley’s Restaurant & Pub in the South loop. 

O-Malley’s serves lunch (open at 11:30am) and dinner every day of the week, with weekend brunches starting at 10:30am – 2pm).  Popular traditional dishes are the fish-n-chips and shepherd’s pie. 

There are plenty of tables and booths in the back area for dinning.  It’s a popular spot for after work with live Irish music on Tuesdays, and fish fry on Fridays.

Grace O’Malley’s is located a short cab ride from McCormick Place at 1416 S. Michigan Ave.

Rama Restaurant – San Diego Convention Center

Rama Restaurant is one of the best Thai restaurant in San Diego.  Rama is located in the Gas Lamp district close to the convention center.

The atmosphere is hip and trendy.  The dinning area is a huge loft area with a full bar and curtains that hang from the tall ceiling provides each table with intimacy.

The food is outstanding.  Among our favorites are cream cheese wontons, spring rolls, garlic and pepper stir fry and red curry. 

Rama is located at 327 Fourth Ave, a short walk from the San Diego Convention Center.

Gioco Restaurant – McCormick Place Convention Center

Gioco is a funky Italian restaurant located minutes north of McCormick Place Convention Center

It’s cozy and lively atmosphere is welcoming with an open kitchen, exposed bricks and hip music.  Outdoor dinning is available weather permitting.

A full assortment of rustic Italian dishes including seasonal fares and homemade pasta’s.  Lunch also available with panini’s and wood-fired thin pizza.
